I'm not a "manifold" expert but to me it dosen't look bad to me at all *shrugs* As long as the wall are nice and thick and it flows, it should work fine

you can cut a 1 1/2" hole outta that collector with a holesaw and make it an external wg manifold

Such a myth. Try porting out the hole for the internal gate and then say internal gates suck......

Basically the internal gate is made to work with more back pressure because the smaller exhaust units that are found on stock cars. Less backpressure, the unit wont work properly. Just port the hole a few mm and it will perform better....

Stupid comments like this plague this site.

true but its still not a good solution for boost metering on a high PSI application. But generally, its fine for street cars.

Well obviously its not a solution if you are looking for a lot of power, but most people on this site regardless of what they say, are just riding around in a 300whp or less street car and an internally gated T3 would be just fine for their application.

I doubt my 60-1 would work well with an internal wastegate at higher boost.

btw I have no doubt the ported internal gates can do just fine for most applications with small-mid sized unit and decent power levels. I seen some local dsms at just under 300whp using a unit modified like that (also had been clipped or something too).

That is a sorry excuse for what you would call a collector... a pipe transition is by no means a merge collector.
