Underdash OBD-2 diagnostic port. I need to install one...
Im in the process of legalizing an obd2a Acura Integra motor in an obd0 '89 honda Civic Si hatchback. Anyone out there have a helms for a '97 Integra? There arent a lot of wires associated with this connector so it seems straight forward...im just lacking a good, clear wiring diagram for it.
Also, are there differences between manufacturer diagnostic ports? For example, must i use a port from a Honda? OR can i snag one from like a Hyundai in the junk yard?
Lastly, since its an obd2a jdm motor, the oil pump does not have the provision for the crankshaft sensor. My jumper harness (obd0 to obd2a) has been modified so it does not throw a CEL when the usdm ecu is hooked up. Will the inspector be able to see this on his scan tool/scanner when and if he hooks up to the port? I can always fake it on the visual, u know like run a few wires to the oil pump, lol.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED
.
BTW, i searched for this topic and came up with unanswered threads

Already did that actually, but those cheapo manual wiring diagrams either didnt have the ecu pin outs listed (just shows wires going to the ecu, lol) or they didnt have the diagnostic connector schematic. They usually only have the popular diagrams listed, things like the climate control or certain engine stuff. This is why i NEED to find someone with a helms.
Pm'd ya about your DLC.
