h22 help please?
ok I just bought a jdm h22a from hondamotorsonline.com and i'm putting it ina 97 prelude. Now the hard part: the jdm motor is an obd1 motor going into a obd2 car. So i am changing the harness and injectors and come to find out the obd2 motor has a cyl position sensor just behind the crank pully and the jdm motor doesent? so to make it work is it possible to wire up the where the cyl sensor used to be on the obd2 harness to the jdm(obd1) distributor (after finding out which sensor wire they are) OR should i just do the hard way and change the oil pump and use the cyl sensor thats on the obd2 motor? btw the sensor is mounted behind the crank pully on the oil pump, i'm trying to avoid pulling off the oil pumps and switching them.

The thing is.....if your using your OBD2 ECU to run the motor then you have to put your other oil pump on the engine. Cuz there is 2 sensors on the oil pump that the OBD2 ecu uses (crank position, and top dead center sensor). Other than that your car wont run......

ok thats what they are i didnt know what the proper terms for the sensors were, i figured that i had to swap the oil pumps not something i'm looking forward to. i've never messed with balancer shafts, ive been told to keep them "lined" up what does that mean? keep the indentation(markings) on both balance shaft gears facing each other? or away each other?

well....you have to take out a bolt in the back of the block and put a screw driver in to line up one of them......the other has a notch on the pulley.....and you have to point it at an arrow on the block.....and all that has to be lined up with the timing belt with cyl. #1 at TDC.
