Default F20B Problems

Hey Guys

Anyone had a problem where your doesnt rev up smoothly when on part throttle. It hesitates between 1000 - 3000 rpms, like there is something restricting it, after 3000rpm it goes up nicely all through vtec. I knw the F20B has the dual plenum intake mani like the gsr. Could this be sticking up causing no airflow on the bottom end?

Mods on the car are....
Short Ram Intake from Top Fuel
FGK Headers
FGK Exhaust
Bigger TB - not to sure of the size...it came with the car.

I suspect the ecu has been modded but i havent checked.

The engine was recently rebuilt tho.....might be a vacuum or mech prob??

I had that problem. My timing jumper 3 teeth on the cam side but this was on my b18b. Check you timing.

If the engine was rebuilt, was the ignition timing set right?

i did timing on a f20 b4 and it has 3 timing marks to line up. were those 3 marks lined up?

Hey guys i know im diggin up old threads here but im having this same problem, seems like im also losing power.

I just wanna know would this just happen randomly like 1 day be sweet then eventually get worse over time?

I get the same issue rev's bog out at a certain point, my exhaust note changes, loss of power etc.

do you have a chance to check a vacum.that would give you few clues.
does the check engine light is on
