Default Power steering & fluid

Of all the power steering cars I own, Honda and not, I never once had to do anything. Lucky me. Or maybe I just have not hang on to the cars long enough.

For my information. Does Honda power steering ever need servicing?

Will I need to change the PS fluid?

I read up on this quite some time ago and what I found was that the Honda PS fluid was good for an unlimited amount of time/miles, basically good forever never needs changing. On that note though I also read people flushing the systems with new fluid and they said it was easier and smoother to turn but again it could be the ole you hope for change because you put that much work into it so you think something changed so you're not disappointed. To me it seems crazy that it is good forever because it turns very dark black in color which to me indicates wear/dirt in there. I keep meaning to do a flush on mine to find out for sure but I'll save that for the day when I re-do my inner tie rods and such.
