tuner toy rods any good??

Default tuner toy rods any good??

I was just wanting to know how many people out there, are using the tuner toy rods for the sohc. I have a y8 motor that im going to build it this winter, my goal is to hit 300whp. I would like hear what you guys think about them. I would also like hear some good parts to use to get to the 300whp mark thanks Dustin

Heard nothing but good things about TT rods. I, myself, also have the TT rods but yet to install it yet.

I have used them before and they are a great rod for a basic build There customer service is some of the best in the industry as well

they look great.. craig seems like a stand-up guy to me (trying to find me some cheap f22 rods)

Yes they will hold alot more then that.

Thanks for all the help guys,just one more thing. I would like to hear what all I need to get to the 300whp mark, like the(intake, turbo manafold, cam, piston,).I would also like to hear about the head what should i have done to that. I know im asking alot but i want to do this build right. THANKS DUSTIN

Just put some TTrods,forged pistons and ARP headstuds in and turn up the boost until you reach 300whp.Not much is really needed to be honest.Good luck with your build.

My TunerToy rods have with stood 9K revs with a 200hp all motor setup and a 300hp boosted set up (the same block. two different points in time)

don't wanna thread jack but i'm buildin a z6 bottom end with:

vitaras
tt rods
acl bearings
arp headstuds
metal headgasket.

that make 300 hp reliably? i have to dd this car

They are okay I guess. I built a SOHC motor with a set of TT rods. The small end on the rods had to be opened up and rebushed to fit the wristpin but what do you expect for a $200 set of rods?

The new TT rods was redesign to fix that problem. But we'll find out when you help put my block togather.

yeah, My old old eagle rods from like 1999 or 2000 had that problem too. So I guess thise shows they were not made in the same plant because Eagle corrected their issues before TT ever came about.

Let me know when you need it done.
