eagle rods good for 600+hp or not?!?!
just wondering if there are people out there making 600+hp on the eagle h-beam rods or if theyre a bad choice. im wanting 700+ and was thinking maybe the manley rods from full-race would be the best for the money. what choice do you think would be best for 700+hp? thanks in advance.

i think the newer eagle rods with the larger rods bolts will take 600+HP no problem just as long as they are properly installed.

i do. eagles are just as good as other companies. i dont understand why people are always bashing them. i guess its the price. they dont cost 900$ so they must SUCK!!!!! JE pistons must suck because they dont cost 700$. stock sleeves suck too, oh wait, people are making 650hp on them. i guess the morons that blow their stock sleeves SUCK TO.

stock sleeves are not consistent like aftermarket rods, you should have stopped at JE..

nah i stopped where i should have. its not a risk. its simply saving money. people on here think that just because someone is going for 500 hp that monney is no object for everyone and everyone has a 20,000 budget for their build. there are ways to meet your goal without overspending on everything. when it all comes down to it. all the pistons are made of the same ****, just silicon content. and the rods, well, i guess most of them are steel or something, but most of them are also made of the same ****.

i made 600hp exactly on eagle rods with 5/16 bolts.i have reved the car to 9500rpm.im running 28lbs also and drive the car everyday.only thing i do is recheck the torque on the bolts.i also change the oil every two weeks unless i have a race.i think that helps save the bearings.

nah...sounds like you dont even know what the **** youre talking about. you even proved yourself wrong there bud...haha. you shouldve stopped before you made the 1st post.
but anywyas, maybe there is a reason eagle rates their own h-beam rods for anything under 600whp. maybe they know how many sets that have failed due to the high volume of pissed customers...i might be wrong now but i dont think so.
i am probably going with the manley rods that have dyno proven 700+whp with NO problems what so ever.
anyone on here running 600+whp on eagle h-beams???

thanks for bolding that part where i said I GUESS, and that means im guessing. but most of the companies use the same material unless they are selling titanium. i know the rods are certainly not aluminum.
really i dont care what you go with. ill use my eagles because i dont need 600whp to run 9's. i know a guy with a crx with upper 400;s running low 10's
