its blue with white/greyish dots its located coming out of the firewall on the driver side. comes out to the connectors of the main wiring harness but doesnt connect to anything just to a rubber cap.

Is it in the engine bay or under the dash? You just say it comes from the firewall...

If it's under the hood, it's the tach test connector.

If it's under the dash, sorry, can't help you.

Also would like to know if that's under the dash or in the engine bay?
Also think it's the tach test lead, I will look in my 94LS.

Its for the optional fog light harness. There is one in the engine bay located next to the driver headlight. Its the same wire.

sense i got more replys here i guess i'll answer some question

its under the hood right next near the fire wall along with the other plugs for the main wiring harness.

the reason im asking is that its been cut and re routed back into the car. i have an alarm so not sure if it has to do with that?

thanks

That'd be your Tachometer service wire, you don't need to extend it...

sorry for the mis information. I took it that you were saying it from the inside of the car. The one your talking about is the tach. It could be routed back in the car for remote start. Or ran to the tach because of a lazy install
