Default Cooling problem - how bad is this

Leaking coolant pretty badly. Leak is in the hose highlighted in the photos below. How bad is this? Any ideas how much this would cost to get fixed?

(1999 Prelude with 130,000 miles)

had to replace that same hose too on my car
its not very hard at all
just buy the right hose with the right diameter
about 3 ft will be enough

both ends are not hard to reach

I had to repair that once on the highway! split right around where you circled, and dumped a bunch of coolant (and fast!), just prior to that I was having overheat problems (radiator related) so lucky for me I had a Jug of coolant in the trunk! On the highway, I cut off the split bit, and managed to stretch it just enough to stay on, then replaced it as soon as I could, along with some of the other older rubber. i'd change it up soon, so much easier in your driveway than on the side of a road with cars whizzing by. makes you feel like your pants are down. but that's a different highway story.

Good to hear that it won't be a tough fix. How many miles did you have on your lude when you replaced the hose?

Are you sure that's coolant? It looks like oil from a leaking seal (like on the intake cam plug) just above that hose.

3/4" heater hose from AutoZone will fix that until you get a new formed hose in, by the way - where's your clamp that is supposed to be there?

Not sure where the clamp is... is it necessary to have one there?

Yes there should be a clamp there. Oh yeah mine blow out at 200,000 miles.
