Default Swelling lower Radiator hose.

Hi guys,

I have a strange problem. The lower radiator hose is swelling just after it exits the head.
I did a check in the radiation for co2 gass and it came up clean, and took out the thermostat. No over heating no engine problems.

So what would cause the hose to swell only after the thermostat?

just the inner structure of the hose weakening, the coolant system does have to hold pressure. I would recommend just replacing the hsoe and everyhting should be fine

You see this is the problem this is a new hose purchased from the dealer just a month ago. I changed it because of the same problem.

Any ideas?

does your car run hot? could be "melting" the hoses.if it is right before it goes into the head (thermostat housing) is sounds like the flow may be restricted causing the bulging of the hose. maybe try doing a coolant flush.

The car does not run hot and a flush was done before the hose was changed. Everything looks good except the hose.

Any other ideas?
