rad hose cause over heat

rad hose cause over heat
okay i think the reason my car over heats only when i get on it is because i have a small hole in my bottom rad hose whould that cause an over heat when i get on it

Obviously. your leaking coolant and dropping the pressure at which the coolant has to return to your engine. If i put a hole in your throat would that make it hard to breath? And change the thermostat too while your at it. Wouldn't hurt.

yea what he said. replace the offending hose, and consider replacing the t-stat as well. then fill the coolant back to the appropriate level and burp the system of air. if it still acts up afterwards then go from there.
