i have a stock B20 block with a stock type r head and was wondering about boosting it. I dont want anything to crazy. i was wondering how much boost is safe to run it with no problems. I'm not looking 4 500 hp but i want something that can give me a nice kick in the seat when i hit the gas.

 

Id stay around 300-320 hp. Boost is irrelevant, it could be 7psi or 15 psi.

 

10psi on a 60 trim T3 would give you a very quick kick, but you'll only see 220-240 whp out of it. THe problem with sizing a turbo for a stock-sleeve b20 is the mono-sleeve design & composition simply sucks. It likes to shatter like a teenage girl's confidence.
