Default B20 question

I will be doing a B20 turbo project into my ek hatch. Why dont i hear about people doing b20 swaps. All i hear about is ls/vtec turbo and b16 turbo. Wouldnt you want to go with a higher displacement so you can run more boost.

Another question is about my setup. How much boost can i run safely.
- T3/T4 turbonetics
- Johnny boy racing 6inch tall intercooler
- Darton sleeved
- JE pistons and connecting rods
- Stock CRV ecu
- JDM ITR injectors (???cc)
- 12:1 FMU
- Possibly a fuel pump. What should i get? aeromotive or walbro

Hell yeah bro b20 turbo is the way to go, especially because you are already gonna have that big *** piston.

Why don't you do b20 vtec turbo. Then you are talking some serious ripping people.

With that block you should easily be able to boost 25 pounds.

no vtec? *ouch ouch* i saw ls motor boosted and the same setup with ls b16 head gave 53 extra whp when vtec engaged... just think about that... let it sink in.. then you will want vtec! lol jk good setup! hahah

i ran a bone stock b20z no vtec on a drag kit. went 239whp, 231 ft-lb. in my full weight ek hatch went 13.04 @ 110.7 on azenis. put 11k miles on the setup with no problems. i used a ls ecu, stock injectors, missing link, 12:1 rising rate and intank pump. on the dyno, the afr was pretty damn good stayed under 12.0 the hole pull around 11.50-11.80afr @ 7 lbs.
would do it all over again, thing was a budget monster. reliability is all in the tune.

i hope u mean this with a sleeved block, b20 sleeves are the thinnest of the bunch, and crack the easiest

sleeving is replacing the stock cylinder walls with after market ones that are stronger and thicker, they will not crack under high compression

what type of power do u want to make, the sleeves on a b20 are able to hold around 300 whp on a good tune, guys make 600+ whp on 81mm size stock sleeves, and get a hole season out of them. the stock honda sleeves are just vary sensitive to detonation. when tuned properly, they can hold the power

My b20 swap was the best swap I ever did. Just make sure the block has the oilers. I didn't and blew the head.

They tolerate heat better, tolerate piston side loads better. And allow you to use larger pistons that stock sleeves could not accomidate.

thanks for the input. what do other b20 guys say about their swap. can i also get info about what to do and what not to do. for example, will the bone stock swap need a bigger fuel pump, radiator ect.. anyone used fidanza or driveshaft shop axles. im lookin to get up to 300hp when im done with the project but fidanza looks ike a better deal.

First off, you'll need better injectors than stock ones, especially at higher boost levels. The stock ones will give out and then you'll run lean on fuel and detonate like crazy. If its going to be a daily driven car, I wouldnt suggest running it at that psi, you'll just wear out the block faster. Make sure your clearances are close to stock. You dont want to go with a big overbore especially on turbo motors due to the thinning walls. Get the walbro 255 lph fuel pump. Initially, you'll run rich due to the fuel pump and FMU, but its better so that you are detonating.
