B20 Vtec HELP
So the past two setups i have had have been a stock Gsr turbo which blew and at stock Jdm B20 which also blew. These were both at low boost!!!
So my question is as follows....I have read about people doing their b20 vtecs and what not but no one talks about how reliable they are
What setup should I go with to have a B20 vtec turbo at about 6-9 lbs of boost. This would be used as a daily driver and only abused at the track.
I read some articles that said that in order to have a reliable turbo honda motor at 6-9 psi you would have to sleeve the block and have low compression forged pistons...
any help? ideas?

Re: (HAMOTORSPORTSUSA)
both my previous setups were tuned with chrome....WHITFIELD-TUNED......i have come to the conclusion that no STOCK motor will last if boosted...... maybe 5000 miles and it is baked..........guys i hang out with have had the same problem which is why I want to do it the right way now

Theres plenty of honda enthusiast's driving completely stock boosted cars for more then 5xxx miles successfully, and even boosting with high miles around 100k+ miles successfully w/o problems. You can't say that stock will blow, it will deteriate or damage the motor slowly, compared to a reinforced motor built to support the turbo. But it all depends on the condition of the motor prior to boosting it, the maintanence that is done to the boosted motor, and ultimately the tune of the motor when boosted.
