turbo b20 a bad idea?
I recently shot a rod through my block and was thinking since I need a new block maybe I should upgrade. I was thinking about using a b20 block but I've heard they crack easy. Does anybody have any experience with turbocharging a b20/vtec with stock internals. I'm not looking to do anything crazy, I'm only running 8psi.

i have a turbo b20b motor and boost is set at .8bar street and 1.3bar on the track with race gas but i have not turned it up yet so i stay at .8bar on the track with pump gas right now trying to get good times at low boost first

Re: turbo b20 a bad idea? (boosted eg)
I ran b20 vtec turbo for a while only 6.5 psi, it ended up throwing a rod through the block(not boost related) when we pulled motor out the motor looked great. It's was a sad day becaue my block was trrash. We currently use it as a cup holder/ashtray in our garage .

It never ran right after I hydrolocked it and I think I may have damaged the rod in the process. I do have very bad luck with cars but I'm getting used to it.

You are 100% correct. If your gonna sleeve a b20 you might as well do a b18 to 84mm its the same thing...but cheaper.
The only reason you would want a b20 is for the stamp..hehe...bling bling.
