Ok heres the deal my girls 94 delsol SI DOHC will not go into gear when the car is started.but you can kill it and not even push in the clutch and it will go into gears fine.After you start it and push the clutch in and try to put it in gear, well it wont go in gear.please any info will help i got to get this done before this weekend is up.

 

Bleed your clutch system of air and try re-adjusting your clutch pedal.

 

The same thing is going on with my 94 accord, I can also put it in gear, push push the clutch, then start it, and it will pull fine but I can smell the clutch burning.

 

what happens if you start the car with the clutch pedal depressed and the car in gear? does it try and move forward when you turn the key? if so, then your clutch is not being fully disengaged when you press the pedal thus not allowing gears to be changed when the motor is running. The solution is to bleed the system and adjust the clutch pedal, if that does not work then your slave has likely gone bad, or even worse, your master.

 

I push the pedal down and put it in gear, start the car and go but when i go to shift its hard to get it in gear and most of the time not go in gear. some times it will but most the time it wont. i just pulled it into theshow and going to bled it, see what happens.
