Default Stiff Heat/Cold Control Slider...

Is there any cheap/easy trick or fix when the slider becomes really stiff?

It's a bit tough to move the slider from cold to hot nowadays....

Thanks

I'M having this problem aswell, the only thing i can think of is some silicone spray on the cable or something, i've broken 2 climate control sliders because of this.

How'd you break them? Just got too stiff over time?

What's behind it? Ever take a look? I haven't pulled a DC dash apart, this is my first 94+ integra, owned 3 90-93 model's before this....

The cable could possibly be binding up. If you remove the head unit and ashtray/lighter, you should be able to get under the dashboard and see the cable.

Where did you spray?

As Patrick said? Up and behind removing the deck & ashtray to get to it? Right behind the **** you push or where it leads to towards the front?

I guess I really should just be getting under/in there

Thanks for the headsup guys!

if you look under the right hand side of your dash you can see the cable, just spray some silicone spray on the cable and see if it loosens up. it maybe necessary to remove the climate control and spray both ends of the cable. but yes it is binding up, like i said i'm having this problem too and i know mine is binding up.
