cleaned the IACV, and the FITV but i still have a f'ed up idle. When cold it idles at 2k , when worm it will sometimes idle at 2 and some times jump from 1k to 2.5k, tried searching... need help, scared of running lean

P.S. when i cleaned out the FITV i screwed it all the way back in, should i have not done that?

 

i had the same problem in my gsr. you might need to replace the IACV cuz the motor inside died i replaced mine and that took care of it

 

i'll try that today... any other ideas?

 

so.... i replaced my TB with a spare, it had the TPS and MAP on it almong with the FITV, now my idle is all good, not sure if it was one of the sensors or how i had the FITV set up, but its good now

my car is tuned... on crome...and the problem is gone

 

what year is ur gsr...? i just got my engine rebuilt and teh first time i started.. it was ffine until i have to redo the head bcuz machine shop mess up... i got everything back together and now its idle crazy.... first start... idle at 200rpm.. tats low.. 50sec. later.. it idle higher.. then it start to idle up and down.....? i did clean out the valve, but it shouldnt be a sudden change that quick> can it?
i have a 96 gsr.....i found out that 94 is a lil diff. then my 96 ....

 

i have a ls-v, not sure how fast a sensor can go bad but it sound similar to what was happening to me
