moates burner question
i need some help here... im trying to upload a map to my chip (27SF512) which is on the supported list... and every time i try to verify it aginst the buffer it comes back negative and when i save what the chip has and read it its one setting all the way across in the fuel and timeing tables and the injector size is totaly fucked over
anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
im inserting the chip correctly, i have the coms and everything configured correctly (what the site reccomended) and cant figure out whats going on
i load a bin, burn it, and the burn program still says its blank

Wait, are you trying to burn a chip or read a chip? Because if you try to read one, it usually doesn't work and when you open it in UD all the cells are corrupted.

Are you selecting the correct eprom from the drop down menu? You actually have to click on which eprom you're using.

Make sure you have the latest version of Flash'n'Burn, and are using a good chip. I've has this issue too, and it turned out that it was writing to the chip in the wrong "area". The updated Flash'n'Burn software helped me fix this.
What are you using for a program? I recommend Crome...
Anyways, do this: ERASE the chip first. Then load the file to the buffer, burn, and verify chip w/buffer.
See if that helps.

Works for me everytime. I think your problem is Uberdata.

Yeah, probably. I can load a file to the burner, burn the chip, then turn around and read the chip and open the file in Uberdata and suddenly everything is fucked. There will be like 20 random fuel cells that all change to -5.

Yea, I was having the same issues. I hate Uberdata. Crome FTW!

thats the exact process i do, and every time it say's failed... i read the chip and click edit buffer and all there is, is F's and 0's
i've tried burning crome and uberdata maps and it doesnt matter which i use, every time i do the blank check it says the chip is blank, and every time i try to verify it says failed
im thinking the chips could possibly be bad but i dont know how.. i got them with my ecu and they've been sitting in my glove box in a plastic case untill now
