use that fitting but do it like this...
1. cut off the short end of the fitting
2. insert the fitting from the inside of the pan
3. put the nut on the outside of the pan (use o rings on both sides of the pan, and hondabond if you want.)
4. connect your return line to the long end that is now sticking out of the pan

heres a few pics from a thread from way back that shows this method. i have been running it like this for 1 year with no problems.
