I got all of my zc in today, and I went to put the positive and negative on the battery it started making a crackling noise. What the heck does that mean??? when i tur the key nothing turns on when they are connected

 

you have a short somewhere

 

How do i fing out where it is at?

 

OK, I've narrowed it down. I can get everything to work right, except when i connect the positive to the starter. Once the positive is connected to the starter everything is shorted out. What does that mean???

 

it means you need to recheck any and all connection you may have made on the engine harness. and also check it for rips or cuts. you either have a 12v wire to ground or something is chaffing against metal.

 

I went to the local auto parts store and had my starter tested, because I thought it was just grounding itself out. The starter was toast!
