Default Solid CEL

My friend ran across this problem last night:

"This is kind of weird and well first time I've had this problem.

Yesterday I went from a chipped ECU to a stock proram P72 and P30 and my check engine light came on. I tried two different ECU's a chipped P28 and a P06 I think and both gave me the solid check engine light.

I tried checking for codes and it just gives a solid check engine with no codes.

The wireing harness is from 96-98 civic and I have the OBD2a-OBD1 conversion harness

Any ideas?"

if it does it w/ a good known stock ecu then its a bad conversion harness or connection in most cases.

Thanks.

Could it be the knock sensor by chance? Since the P28 doesn't have them, but the b18c's do?
