30 mpg on the highway is pretty bad, but anyway, you can run without it, I don't see why though.

Wow, a 2.3 liter getting 30mpg highway, I'm mystified. I've never seen anything like it.

Just get a program on your ecu that supplies a constant o2 reading... like hondata or uberdata or something, then you wont need o2 sensors or any of that crap.

Edit: btw i get 22 mpg, so dont listen to my advice

im not saying without a doubt ur car will run like crap without an o2
but mine was almost not driveable without my o2 sensor
im sure not all cars get 30+ mpg on the highway without an o2 sensor *shrugs*
you gave what your car did and i gave what mine did no need to get hostile

my car gets excellent gas <PG and I have been running with basially no O2 for 1 1/2 years. I swapped to 4wire for turbo, but that didnt last long, so I went back to my regular HX ECU, but with a 4wire sensor. SO basically it isnt even reading the o2 sensor right now and drive slovely

well i run open loop all the time and i tuned the vacuum columns for fuel economy and use the IAT compensation along with a few other modifications.

well, the o2 only compensates 5% anyways, its not that useful, i mean 5% of 30mpg isnt much.

and your worried about the O2. you need to get the TPS fixed. your ecu is basing fuel trim solely off the map sensor right now, and its probably pig rich, which will kill the o2 eventually if not already.
