my friend has a 99 ek so that means it is obd2. the thing is that he converted it into obd1. and now he is getting o2 sensor cel. he wants to know if there is a way to fix that problem.

Not that it really matters but if he's running an OBDI ECU then there's no reason to run an O2 sim. on the primary oxygen sensor... On a chassis running an OBDII computer that's a different story, then it's nice to have the secondary bypassed... By the way, what swap does he have?

yea what swap is he running? if he converted to OBD1 and is getting a code for a o2 then it should be code 41 primary heater o2,..maybe that o2 is just bad ,...and there is no need for a o2 sim for an obd1 car
