DSM injector install ?'s
ok, well i started my injector install today. i took off the fuel rail and all, then i hear on the ls intake mani you just take the seal out...got all that, but why wont the DSM black top 450's fit into the intake mani? do i have to dremmel the intake mani? or what? im trying to do this today, now as a matter of fact. can anyone relate to this?
you are supposed to dremel out the seal cause the DSM injectors are wider where they plug into the intake manifold.
instead of dremeling them out though, i just put a little grease (oil will work) on the injector where they slide into the seals and bolted the fuel rail down, which pressed the injectors into the seal. make sure if u do that, that you tighten the three bolts down evenly though.
good luck

For the clips. You need to swap to an OBD1 style clip or just use the DSM injector clips. I am pretty sure the OBD2 honda clips won't work.
and I didn't say take all of the seals out. There is a plastic hard seal at the bottom. Take that piece out. Leave the bigger rubber seal in there. Then you can intall the injectors into the fuel rail and then slide and tighten them down into the seal. Just make sure it is centered.

i did the same just put oil in it put the injectors in the fuel rail and tighten it down... i snapped the third bolt though but it still fits nice... no point in dremel cuz i did that sometimes u will over bore the seals and it may leak...

i always dremel the seals...never had a problem with that....because id rather have them sit nice and flush then force them in......as for the clips use dsm clips...there nice and easier to take on and off....install like wire to like wire and odd wire to odd wire for all of the clips
