cel code 43 on 93 lude vtec (wiring?)
Installed a new header and tried to remove the O2 sensor off of the old one to reuse, and it snapped. Needed an O2 sensor right away so I go to my local AutoZone and purchase the Bosch universal for like $85 (the only one they had) , install it, and the car throws a cel 43!!!
I think my wiring is wrong. I cut the factory wiring harness that leads to the O2 sensor and linked them to the new one that was purchased, four wires I believe.
I didn't take the time to read the manual that came inside the box of the new sensor and threw everything away,,,, this is what I need - -> Which wires to connect together so my ecu won't throw a Cel?, the sensor has 4 wires and the factory harness has 4 wires (different colors than that of the sensor). Please help, I hate how my car hesitates to accelerate under steady pedal push.
Please help, need to fix this problem. Thanks.

idk not only does my car throw a code 43 but like 20 other ppl i know with h22 swaps, common stupid CEL. I bought a new 02 sensor, didnt help, i swaped my ECU with my friends p28 chipped, still didnt run real great but no CEl and was able to hit Vtec.
CEL turns off when engine warms up, and turns back on under hard acceleration, weird. I swear it's my O2 sensor, that's the only think I touched before the CEL turned on. It has something to do with the air flow through the exhaust piping and the temperature of the exhaust. Nothing is wrong with the car, it's just an electrical malfunction and the ecu thinks/feels that something is wrong. I'm almost sure that it is the way I connected the wires that causes the CEL to come on.
Please anyone with a diagram or an explanation that tells which wires to connect from the factory harness to the new O2 sensor. Remember the O2 sensor that was purchased at that time was Bosch Universal. Which color wire to which color wire should I connect together? Thanks.

just some info on what ive done with the same problem in my H22 EG hatch
upgraded to a walbro 255 & still having the occasional CEL 43
I've heard that a bad O2 can causee it, and i was getting CEL 1(bad o2) with it...got a new O2...it fixed the CEL1 but the 43 still comes back occasionally.
my runs fine (Vtec works) but occasionally it will stumble when sitting @ idle & this is when it throws the CEL..plus its a little stubborn to startup so i'm leaning towards the Fuel pressure regulator.
i'm going to replace that next & see what happens
if your getting it @ WOT....id say its your pump or FPR....causing it to lean out @ WOT.
just my $0.02

hmmmmm interesting...
i put a denso 4 wire on this past weekend.
got rid of my occasional CEL #1 but the 43 still comesa back sometimes with the stumbling idle.
oh & to add to my list...i put in a new fuel filter too.
new FPR is next for me.

im having the same problem but on my h23. only throwing code 43. i can't seem to pass smog either. would changing the catylytic coverter do the trick? would my secondary o2 be bad? i hate to throw so much money on to this car but i need it legal asap.
