B16 O2 sensor wiring questions/ help needed
Hey everyone! Just got my first honda, everything is great and she runs nice. The only problem is that it's throwing CEL code 1 for the O2 sensor which makes sense because whoever did the b16 swap just cut the wiring off for the sensor. Well anyways I wanna wire it back up and I'm planning on drilling a hole in my headers(for a bung), DC sports aftermarket, and welding a bung to mount the O2 sensor. The only problem is that I know the sensor has 4 wires, but my wiring on the harness only has 3 wires and not 4. There is a black wire, a green/yellow wire, and a blue wire. Please help!! Haha

Re: Obd1 o2 sensor wiring help B16
I noticed on the D series 4 wire O2 that two wires were black, I assume both to be ground. I wonder if your setup is similar and they cut after the splice so you only see 1 instead of 2 black wires.
You may need the ETM page for the O2 for your motor/car.

(If you know this is a harness from a different honda will it work with the right o2 sensor and plug)

Re: B16 O2 sensor wiring questions/ help needed
Please quit posting multiple threads for the same car/issue.
If I have to continually merge them into this thread (that's getting really ugly) I may not take it well and you will be unable to receive help from this site for a duration.

The three wires that you have pictured are for the VTEC pressure switch and the VTEC solenoid... that is, the black wire and blue/black wire is for the VTEC pressure switch and the green/yellow wire is for the VTEC solenoid. You will need to look elsewhere for your O2 sensor wiring... this is not likely it unless your original VTEC wiring had been re-purposed, but this doesn't appear to be the case.

Yes those are definitely the VTEC wires. The 4 wires for the O2 sensor should be yellow/black, orange/black, white, and green/white.

Re: Obd1 o2 sensor wiring help B16
see and where I'm confused is people are saying these wires are for the vtec, but the vtec is properly working(unless I'm missing something) and all the Hondas I've seen, where these wires are coming from is where all the connections start for the o2 sensor. So I'm just super dam confused lol

If I can't find the wires I suppose I'll save up for a tune so they can get the air fuel ratio down. And delete the need for the sensor. But I really don't wanna do that because it'll be expensive.
