Default Driveability with Skunk2 stage 2's in a b16?

like the title says, anyone hear running skunk2 stage 2 cams in a b16, stock pistons or any other pistons, let me know how the drive is.

im thinking about getting a pair, but i wasnt sure what the driveability on these cams is all about. thanks. any opinions you have, let me hear them.

We have tuned a couple of B16's with those cams. Idle and part throttle are like stock. High RPM is the only time you really notice that you have some cams in there

The most covered and debated about camshaft under the sun and you can't find any info on them?? I swear there has been a rash of S2S2 threads as of lately

actually no...you see, specific questions like this, although the cam is popular and discussed quite a bit, is NOT brought up in any topic that i searched.

I've searched the hell out of the topic and have not found all the information I need either. I was interested on the samething as I have a gsr and would like to know the compromise of this big cam in a relatively stock motor.

funny how i just looked through and read all of those and still didnt get what i was looking for. this is a specific question that i wanted a specific answer for, not just some guys talking about if they would be ok with running stage 2's with stock compression.

so yes, please, keep going.

Sometimes the threads don't address specific questions, sometimes people just give suggestions which spark different threads otherwise Honda Tech would be one big thread.

HOw you know the motor blew, did you drop a valve? or something else??? Do you think it was the cam or just over reving. Good luck on the rebuild

I've been running S2S2 for almost 7k miles now. no problem. i have Skunk2 valvetrain. For the fuel part, STR fuel rail, B&M regulator. evertyihng runs fine. waiting to get tuned this summer after i add a few more parts. oh, by the way. the bottom is still stock. only thing i got to up the compression is a SPOON gasket. good luck!

Well maybe thats the reason why the say you should tune the car. I mean did you upgrade your fuel or did you just throw in cams and do a butt tune.
