I have a 1996 civic HX coupe. The turn signals stopped working. Before it stopped working, it would blink like twice and then it would stay on solid. Then after a while, it just completely stopped working.

I replaced my turn signal relay and that didnt solve the problem. My hazard lights do work, but when i signal left and right, they do not.

Any suggestions on stuff i can check?

Did you check fuses? Grounds? any shorts?

fuses = not yet. (do you know which fuse should i be checking to see if its burnt?

grounds / shorts = not even sure where to start to check those..

 

does everything else work, such as your instrument panel lights?

the cluster lighting works, so does the lighting behind the climate control area...

 

im sad.. no turn signals suck.

 

 

relay/flasher is bad. when the lights were staying on that was the relay/flasher sticking. then when it stopped working that was the relay/flasher poping. so just change the relay/flasher and your good..

 

check your underhood fuses. you probably blew your hazard fuse

i did change my relay / flasher to a new oem one from the dealer, and still no turn signals.

but my hazards work when i press the hazard button...

 

do your tail lights light up? i can garantee its probably just a fuse. Especially if both of them are out at the same time.

ya tail lights work, brake lights also work.

I'll check the turn signal fuses tommrow and post back.
