Need Help Please... Elec prob. b20b.
Hello all..
As the title states, i am in need of some assistance.
Scenario.
looking at the speedo meter, the needle jumps from 65 down to 40 then back up to 65 again in 1.5sec intervals. i exit the freeway and as i am reaching a red light the car completely shuts down- lights still on but car wont start.
the lights still work properly but trying to start the car is impossible. doesnt even turn over or make any noise of struggle.
any ideas will help.
my assumption is something w/ a fuse blowing out?
thanks for your time.

nice. you are fired.
i dont post here any more because of laim answers like that.
go over the grounds especially the one on the thermostat housing. i have never seen a blown fuse come back causing an intermittent problem.

FIRST... check the charge in the battery.. sounds like its dead, if its not dead then its a bad ground somewhere
SECOND.. find out why it went dead. most likely your alternator has failed, oh so common. if the battery was good, check grounds. like someone said, most commonly its the thermostat ground for the harness. if not check the grounds between the engine and the chassis (trans, valve cover)
but i'd bet money your alternator took a **** and now the battery has died. take it off... autozone will test it, buy a good one, TEST NEW ALT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE
