Default 17 degrees low and high?

tryin to figure out the timing on my motor, i figured out 17 degrees but is that on high and low cam thru out the entire rpm range? this is for a base map so i can get the car tuned. if anyone can help i would appreciate it thanks

This is the base ignition timing.The computer adds ignitoin timing to that for your total timing.This does not have anything to do with your cam timing.

so if the base timing was set at 17 degrees will the ecu set the rest? or should i put 17 degrees thru out the entire rpm range? and does anyone kno if crome has knok timing/ or sensors?

No you dont want timing at 17 degrees on all the maps! You just want 17 degrees for base timing.

ok for the base timing, then the ecu will set the rest? and do u happen to kno if crome has a knock sensor or timing ?
