Default b20z2 static timing = 21deg BTDC????

I allowed the engine to warm up then turned it off.
I jumped the service connector and restarted the car.
At idle after the cooling fan turned on I checked the timing.
I used the timing gun with the adjustable timing ****.
When I lined up the white mark on the pully the dial was set at 21 degree BTDC.
The engine runs fine there is no pinging at all in any load.
I would just like to know if the B20z2 static(initial) timing is suppose to be at 21 degree BTDC.
I am running this engine with a p75 ecu. the ecu's timing map starts at 16.5 degrees.
Should I adjust this value to 21.
The timing at idle was at 16.5 when the service connector jumper was removed and the ecu took control.
Does anyone know what the b20z2 static timing should be set too?

Default Re: (Relic1)

Thanks.

I did set it to 16* last night and took it for a spin.
It ran so slow so I moved it back to 21*.
I also reset the ecu after making the changes.
I am using the knock sensor to detect detonation and so far NONE.
I am using the zeitronix wb and dataloging software for a/f ratio.
at idle it is at 14.7-15.2 and under acceleration it's in the 13's and w.o.t it varies from 11.9-12.4.

This timing deal has me a bit confused.
It runs great and right now i am getting on average 30 mpg mixed driving.
can anyone with a b20z help me out here? where is your static timing set at?
I am using the obd2 ditributor re-wired for obd1 if that makes a diiference.

if you're tuned for 21* and don't have any problems, leave it there.
