how to lock timing?

Default how to lock timing?

how is this done with the service connector? i need to set mine at 16*. thank you

connect the terminals of the service connector with a jumper wire and set the timing with a timing light

the timing is set already. i just need to lock it. thanks man. do you know if your timing isnt locked, will the car run hot?

The car will run high egt and won't have any power if you drive it with the timing locked.Why do you want to do this?

i thought you were suppose to lock ur base timing at 16*

Locking the timing with the service connector is only for setting your base timing.After that is set you disconnect the jumper and let the ecu adjust the timing as needed.
