Default Eagle Rods ARP Bolts Torque and Angle???

Hi All, as i have searched, but didn't find, I'd like to know:

I got a set of H Eagle Rods for my B16a, and i'm going to take the meassurement to get the right OEM bearings. What I'd like to know is, the right torque method:

I Just need to torque to 28lbs and use the moly on the bolts(as the sheet says), or i should use the angle method after torqued.

The ohter question is, is there any problem, if the Moly package, stays opnened for let's say some months, until a get the bearings to build my engine? (That's beucause i live in Brazil and things need some time before get in my hands...

I Need this answer as soons as possible, for know the rights bearings sizes....

Very thanks! And sorry for may bad english.

Just torque them to 28 lbs using the moly lube and you will be fine. The moly packet can stay open for many months with no affect
If you use ACL bearings you will have no wait time.

I always use a stretch gauge on rod bolts, the angle method is used
for torque to yield fasteners, which yours are not.
The 28 ft/lbs sounds like a 5/16 bolt, if that's the case I would
send them back for a rod with 3/8 bolts.

Agreed, but I still would never use a 5/16 bolt in a high revving Honda.

jsut use the torque given to you from Eagle and a stretch gauge. I think the only rod company to use torque and angle is Oliver

Hi All! Thanks for the replys!!!

rpm11: The 28 ft/lbs sounds like a 5/16 bolt, if that's the case I would
send them back for a rod with 3/8 bolts.

my rods cames with 3/8" Bolts, and on the sheet(that cames with the rods from eagle) says 28 lbs for the 3/8".

earl: The moly packet can stay open for many months with no affect. If you use ACL bearings you will have no wait time.

Hi earl, as always, saving me.

Thanks!

All my spec sheets are at my shop but usually the 3/8 bolts take 42-43 ft/lbs.
Please double check your spec sheet.

edit: If you mean you are using a 3/8 12 pt wrench on the bolt head, that is
a 5/16 bolt.
