Default Brake light on?

Its been happening for the past few weeks. When i go to school in the morning the brake light stays on for some odd reason. It eventually goes away after about 4-5 miles of driving. does anyone know why it would be doing this? the brake is not engaged at all.

Check brake fluid level first. Then check the E-brake, most of the time that never goes bad.

There is also a switch on your brake pedal arm that has a contact point made of plastic, at least on 2nd gen integra's it is. Make sure that switch and contact point are meeting each other properly. If the plastic contact point gets wedged to the side or broken into pieces, it could cause your brake light to stay on. My plastic piece broke and my brake lights stayed on, so I used a plastic panel fastener and stuck it in its place as a temp fix, two years later its still working fine.

Opps, I just figured out you meant your dash brake light, not your tail lights, dangit.
