Emerg. Brake light on during acceleration

Emerg. Brake light on during acceleration
I've been noticing that when I begin accceleraing the brake light for the emergency brake comes on and then goes off about after I reach third gear. Has this happened or is happening to any one else and what can I do to the fix this?
