Default How long do wideband o2 sensors last?

Looking to buy a used one, with about 5k miles on it. How long do these sensors last?

mine has like 10k on it. No problems here. There is actually probably more than that on it.

Just have to put it in the right spot. like 28 inches from turbo is good.

Even closer is probably okay. Many cars use WBO2 sensors stock, and rate them at 60,000 mile intervals. Just don't run race gas through them.

So 5k miles should consider really nothing for it?

As long as the former owner wasn't running race gas for that 5k miles.

Yeah, they're usually only rated for around 50 hours on race gas.

From what I know, its the lead in C16 that kills the sensors & cat. converters. I'm not really up to speed on racing gas, but I do know that gasoline can't get over 100 octane w/o lead.

In the end, if you're using racing gas, chances are you already have the $50-60 to blow on the sensors. Also, chances are that after 50 hours of running racing gas you've already blown your motor or you're running open loop right off the fuel maps.
