Question about Race Gas
Since our boosted cars have o2 sensors, how long will they last if say I used about 7 gallons of 114 or C16 a week for my weekend endeavors?

over time they will ruin your o2 sensor, but i'm not shure how much time this is. unless your really pushing it (500 whp+), you prob dont need 114, or 16. try some 110, i'll bet it'l work fine.

Screw that, I've used 117 octane in a 250-300 whp car with great results.
If you only run a couple gallons (max) through it once a week, it may last a whole season. Once a week is quite a bit though.
In most cases, if you first run the O2 sensor on pump gas for a bit, and then run a little race gas, and then switch back and run a couple tanks of regular fuel, etc... it will last for quite a while.

Re: (PBOOSTIN)
what is air plane gas in most cases leaded or unleaded is there anywhere u can get a list of what is what.
From what i have heard E-85 is like running 110 oct but i have not finished my tune on the E-85 but some states you can buy this at the pump there are 3 places in Michigan where we can buy it but in Minnesota you can buy it at over 100 places from what i have heard.
Just a thought.

Thanks for the input guys.
I ordered a 50 gallon vat to be put in my brothers backyard (i live in apt) to store my race gas. gonna rent Uhaul and go down to this place to get gas later this week. they have a website, worldwideracingfuels.com and located about 40 minutes away from arlington VA...yay!

That's an awesome site...thanks for the info, it's within driving distance of me and I may go get some 104 octane since its unleaded...I believe that's the highest unleaded that they had...
Comes out to like 4.30 per gallon tho

Re: (B17aTrbo)
we have all kinda of leaded gas on pump around me..110, 115, 117, ect.
ive never seen any unleaded over 104...EVENTUALLY the leaded gas will slow down your o2 sensor, but what i always do is mix pump/race together. couple gallons of 93 and 5-6 gallons of 115 should do fine for most street setups...but with that said theres lots of different qualities of gas..when deciding on what fuel to use you should really look at the motor octane opposed to the what it says on the pump. i used to have a good site with info and specs on almost every race gas but i cant remember what it is.
to find dealers of gas in your area go to google and search for sunoco, VP, ect. websites and they should have dealer locators on there.

Re: (gritsak)
Brian used how many gallons/drums of race gas driving around last summer? I think about 6 (x 55 gallons) of our VP110 (~$2400 total) but that's without a cat to clog or oxygen sensors to ruin (Hondata running in closed loop)... I really wouldn't be too worried about it, if your oxygen sensors go out they aren't too expensive to replace (so long as they aren't widbands)... The highest octane of the VP unleaded fuels is VPHTG which is rated at 106 (MON)... Like I've said before 110 (107 MON) works fine for the high boost Honda's but if you don't mind spending ~$550 a drum VPNOS is pretty crazy stuff (in the Supra)... If you read this Brian, I'm just playing, hehe... Peace
