From what I know, its the lead in C16 that kills the sensors & cat. converters. I'm not really up to speed on racing gas, but I do know that gasoline can't get over 100 octane w/o lead.
In the end, if you're using racing gas, chances are you already have the $50-60 to blow on the sensors. Also, chances are that after 50 hours of running racing gas you've already blown your motor or you're running open loop right off the fuel maps.
