Default Tuning pwns me

I went to take my 2002 honda civic coupe to the dyno today and was a little disappointed, even though I didnt expect the best since I know I am running rich.

168 whp and 200 wtq @ 10psi

the a/f ratio flatlines at 10.0 from 4600 rpm and on.

So i figure some tuning and I can easily get it to 215 whp since I am running so rich now.

I'm not familiar with Greddy's E-Manage. Are you able to edit fuel/ignition tables?

emange you can tune igntion if you purchased the ignitoin harness and fuel if you have the support tool.

fouled plugs? Your torque is there so your turbo and engine are doing the work. I don't see a big problem excpet breathability and spark/fuel that is causing that. Read up if your doing the tuning or ask your tuner why and he should be able to tell you if he knows what he's doing .

Edit: I just read the part about the 10AFR....damn I love being right .

yeah, thr problem is that it sis running so rich. i will upload my dyno chart tonight and you can see how it hits 5k rpm and the hp/tq just completely drops off as the a/f ratio hits 10.0

most dyno's won't read past 10:1...you're probably war richer than that. tune it out and you'll gain a lot more hp/tq.

here are the 2 dyno's. the 1st is w/o the a/f ratio and the 2nd is with. we stopped the pull as soon as we saw what the a/f ratio was doing, so that is why the rpm only goes 5k or 6k.

Lean that out! You should be making some nice power if you didn't have that problem. That torque is great!

I don't like how lean you are before that rich spot though

I said go back to the tuner and ask for a retune. Or go to another shop that know how to tune a D17.

...but then again so is hondata, ubercrap, ect

Running that rich is not only killing your hp but is not good for your engine. I wouldn't boost very often (or at all) until you lean it out

i guarantee you that if he is making 200 ft.lbs. or torque he is probably somewhere in boost. So yea...the car is rollin already When his torque peaks he is at 14:1 afr

What plugs are you using? The major hills and valleys in the higher RPM range look like you could go to a colder set of plugs. Just curious.

PIC SAVED - It's official! That's the worst dyno graph I've ever seen . Tuner should not have let you walk out with your car like that . I wanna see a pic of your plugs probably a like a black hole in the middle of space surrounded by stars.

i hope you didn't pay for tuning, becuase they didn't make it what it should of been, they did make it better with your 1st graph u would blow ur motor real quick. and now your stupid rich.
but ur 1st graph looks like utter ****, and your tuned map doesn't look much better

E-Managae is a piggy-back. There is nothing glorified about it's statuts. It manipulates the signals after the ECU. Hondata, Neptune, Crome, Uberadata and so forth are a part of the actual ECU so they are not piggy-backs.

Piggy-back = add-on to the existing Engine management.

Which AF meter are you using to tune the car when you are not on the dyno? What injectors, fuel pump and reguator are you using?

yeah I def. think you need to go back and get a re tune or get some money back. you start off running reall lean and just fall off going way rich. he did next to nothing but dump fuel like crazy. he doesn't know how to tune emenage thats for sure and def. didn;t use the map trace feature to see where the engine needs more or less fuel.
