Vtec not kicking in

Default Vtec not kicking in

I just recently put in a Greddy E-manage and i tuned the Vtec to boot in at 5200rpm and it worked just fine, so i punched in some more fuel and opened up the injectors more etc. and i went for a test pull, and no Vtec. I had a 22error code coming on right when i hit 9000rpm ( oil pressure code ). My oil is topped up past the top dot a bit, and i did a scan of the engine, and no oil leaks etc. The engine is a 94 JDM b16a obd1. I have a new solonoid on order, but maybe anyone might have any input for my problem. I had the solonoid apart and checked the screen etc. and it looks mint.

Any idea's for my problem would be greatly appreciated so i stop this problem from happening again. Thanks

well 22 is the pressure switch. make sure it is wired up correctly and if it is, swap it out with a known good one.

k quick question...with it not working shouldnt the engine light still be coming on?...becouase i checked my ecu and no wires are disconected, but i still have not got my meter back from my friend the check to see if there is power at the solonoid...

well check your oil level. low oil wont engage vtec and wont throw a code

What have you done to your engine to withstand 9,000 RPM?

Check your oil level.

Are you getting this professionally tuned or are you doing this on your own?

to withstand 9000rpm i have stage 2 comp cams with valve springs...my oil is toppped right up like i said and i am doing my own tuning and sometimes tuning it on the dyno with geno from enhanced auto

a dyno is the only place do to performance tuning
