Default spooling up t4 on b18c1

sorry if this has been brought up, i did search and didnt find anything...
i have a built up b18c1 with je pistons, rods, etc... i was wondering how much power will a T4 turbo make?? and if anyone is using just a t4 right now how fast is it spooling up? and what exhaust manifold are you using and wastegate. would i need a little lets say a 20-30 shot of NOS to spool her up at the track. is it worth it?? thanks

The turbo itself will not make any power, You might need to bolt it to some sort of engine...

hehe. It depends on boost level... and if you are going to run a t4 you better have a sleeved block and some nice tuned engine management.

Dustin

P.S. I need NOS!

cool. thanks dustin. so running about 15 psi of boost shouldnt be a problem with the t4? how much power will that put down im currently @ about 141 at the wheels. which sucks. and i was thinking about getting a hondata 3b. that should be good enough or no.

hmm... 15 PSI might not be high enough to use a straight T4, IMO a T4 is best used for high boost like 20+ PSI anyone have a different opinion?

A pal of mine was running a T5 on his D16Z6. The turbo came off a Buick Grand National.

The thing was friggen huge!

Don't ask why or how, cause I don't know. Be he made his own custom manifold and was running a Delta Waste Gate.

He said it took a while to spool but the top end was nuts. I never drove the car but the boost spiked one day when he put his new T5 on and it tore the four rods apart. I had pic's but I lost them.....................damn virus!
