what car?
intercooler?
boost controller?
when does it lose boost?.....eg. 5000 rpm
how much boost does it lose?

You might want to get a boost controller and hook it up from an intake manifold source and then to the actuator of the turbo. You can make a boost controller, or buy one new for around $70 and up. Oh yeah, If you don't have a boost gauge (I assume you do) get one.

turbo xs has manual boost controllers (summitracing carries them). You can buy one of those or make one too ( http://www.c-speedracing.com ). It's basically a spring and a ball-bearing that holds pressure til' you hit a certain amount of boost, thus opening it up. They can be as good as electronic boost controllers in a sense that you can adjust your boost level and keep the boost level until redline. They are not, however, adjustable by a touch of a button inside the car. That and most EBCs have more features than just keeping a eye on boost.

I had the same situation you did with the greddy turbo/intercooler. Hooked up the boost controller sourced at the intake manifold, then to the turbo's wastegate actuator and my problem was gone. Good luck
