Default fast turbo lines, tapping pan

I tried searching but couldnt find a direct answer...but i just ordered some fast turbo lines off somebody "new" but the directions seemed incomplete or started on step "10"

From what i could gather, it says drill the hole in oil pan and then the fitting is tightened with a nut?? Does it not require welding ???

Sorry if this has been covered before. but TIA

i know thats the conventional way of donig it, but the instructions state this:

-drill oil pan with 11/16" bit
-insert smaller fitting into oil pan, and secure the back with the black washer and nut, tighten with crescent wrench

??

you could do it that way, but if you weld it, it will never leak.

I've used an AN fitting with a nut on the back of it before for my oil pan. It never leaked. I think I put loctite on the threads to be safe, but it worked out good.
