Default Boost Controller - confused?

Ok, I bought a Hallman Boost Controller, I hooked it up from the wastegate to the fitting on the side of it, and hooked the bottom of it to a T that connects to the intake manifold, the other end going to another T that goes to the boost gauge and to the fuel pressure regulator. Do I have this hooked up wrong? I keep turning it up and the gauge keeps reading a little above 5 psi, I probably have done 1 full turn and still nothing, any ideas?

You have the MBC between the intake manifold and the side port on the wastegate right?

I'm not familar with the Hallman MBCs, but usually 1turn = 1psi. Sometimes you have to start with a couple turns before it will even start changing boost...

the mbc goes inline with the wg and turbo. the bottom goes to the turbo and the side port to the wg.
