Fawwwwwwwk Me! o2 help needed again!
Ok. After hearing the suggestions to switch my o2 sensors, I got up under the car. Come to find out that the o2 sensors are both on my test pipe, and RIGHT next to each other instead of being like 1 in front, 1 in back. Anyways, I take one out of the test pipe and stick it in the hole in the header & plug the test pipe hole up with the bolt. I get in the car...same thing (barely a signal on the a/f guage). I switch them back and forth between the 3 holes about 4 times, and drive around....now I dont have a signal at all. It wont even register, and just sits on the bottom of the guage. I am noticing that my check engine light is coming on all over the place now...as before it was just occasionally. So, in essence, I have made my situation worse. What is my next tactic guys? How much would it cost to get holes put in the top piece of my header so the o2's can go there, and is it worth it? Also, I think I might have messed up one of the wires on one of the o2's. With all the twisting/turning of taking it out and putting it back in, the wire looks like it's hanging by one of the little silver threads....This wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that it's like 1mm away from the o2 that this happened...so I'm stumped...anyone?

I'm thinking of just buying a new Heated 02 sensor, this 2 02 sensor thing is not working and is a waste of time if you are getting an aftermarket header. I don't want to spend money to have my aftermarket header modified to fit 2 02 sensors nearer to the engine. And I only really want/need 1 02 sensor.
Think about it the only reason us 1st gen b16s have 2 02 sensors is because they have to be so close to the engine to maintain heat. And there's two of them since when they're that close to the engine they have to be on 2 separate header pipes. If we had a heated 02 sensor we could simply use one heated 02 sensor and have it further away from the engine. We can just plugged the single signal coming from out heated 02 sensor into both ECU 02 sensor inputs and have the 02 sensor heater wires hooked to power and ground.
If you're getting no signal at all, then either the wire's busted or the 02 sensor's busted.

Whelp. I went tonight and took the 2 o2 wires and hooked them up to my single good o2 sensor... Still nothing. I guess it's just 2 far away from the engine to get warn enuf & to send a correct signal. I will start looking for a single 4wire o2 now. What all would I have to do in order to make it work?
Wire 1- Power
Wire 2- Ground
Wire 3- Signal to o2 (Split to 2 o2's in my case)
Wire 4- What does this wire go to?
Anyone done this before and can help me? And are they the same size as my 1 wire o2's?

Not a good idea! Your problem with trying to use a heated O2 is that the sensor will be seeing overall lower readings than the O2 sensors that are located close to the engine. Save yourself alot of time and money, and just have two O2 bungs welded into the top of the header. Shouldn't cost you more than 20-40 bucks, and the cost of the bungs. And, yes it is true that a PR3 will run on only one O2 sensor, but you will begin to develop some of the minor driveability problems you spoke off before.

Hmmm, okay. Whelp, I am not sure my second o2 is working at all now, so I need to get a new one of those also. When I first put in the new header it would read, but just barely. Now my a/f guage doesn't get a signal from it at all. Do I have to get the o2's welded into the header, or is it possible to get a hole w/ slots so I can screw in the o2's? If I do have to get them welded, what happens if one doesn't work?

Which pipes would I get them welded into also?

No, my header doesn't have 2 o2 sensor holes. It is a GSR header, and has a single o2 hole at the very end. My stock b16a header had the 2 o2 holes down at the very bottom of the header, but I switched it out for the DC Sports one I currently have. I am going to try to get pieces welded in so I can screw the o2's in near the head.

Don't forget that cyl.s 2and3 are read by the primary o2 and 1and4 are read by the secondary o2, look at your stock b-16a manifold and you should see what i'm sayin.
So I should have the holes made in the very top of the 2nd piece, or the very bottom of the 1st piece. Which one is the primary and which is the secondary? I bought it with the swap, and the header that was on it had both o2's at the very end of the 2nd piece almost exactly where I have them now on the test pipe. I guess since this header is ceramic that is doesn't get as hot all the way down there and that's my problem. I am still at the problem of finding something that I can use to weld in to the top of my 2nd piece so that the o2's will screw in and I wont have to weld them in there.
