What fitting did you use for the oil pan? there is the 45* bend piece and just the straight piece. Also how did you all mount it to the pan. My oil pan is alum and niether peices are alum :-\ IM thinking I'll have to JB weld it? Sorry for the dumb question.

It's strange, for some reason it says NPT, but when you scroll down you see the AN sizes and part numbers.

OK thats is what i thought but help me with this. With the fast turbo kit there is a 45* bend fitting that comes right off the turbo and into the retun line. SHould I use this peice or get one that is straight? It seems if i use the 45* fitting I might want to clock the turbo ~10* to get a good downward flow.

 

i just used an npt fitting with a threaded end and a barbed end. i used the threaded end to thread into the pan and then fit the braided line onto the barbed end. that is the only way it would work for me with that return setup

 

Little FYI, I needed the weld on bung in a pinch so I went by an industrial hydraulics store that I knew of. They had it in stock for $2.50. Beats paying $5 or more on shipping and waiting a week.

I posted a similar question about a week ago before I bought all my stuff. People seem very happy with Stan's setup (45 degree adapter at the turbo, and 45 degree AN fitting at the oil pan), but there were other suggestions in the thread. I ended up buying 2 45 degree AN fittings, but just to be sure, spent the extra $10 on a straight fitting. I'll just sell the one I don't use. A straight NPT to -10 AN adapter is cheap. Just buy it for extra insurance.

damn, pretty lucky they had the right fitting you wanted, at least around here its few and far between when a place local has the fittings im looking for

oh yeah, that's the same fitting that i have for my pan as the first guy posted
