So, I have a 94 Delsol Si that needs some work. I have $4k to put into it but I can't decided on what I want to do.

Right now, I'm leaning towards a LS+ Turbo Swap. At the same time, I'm thinking I might want to build & turbo the D16z6 in it already.

I'm looking for a fun daily driver w/ some fun on the weekends, mostly Drag.

I would like to be putting out around crank 250hp Reliable.

Well Lets see what everyone's got... I'm open to other options too.

there are endless things you can do....searching will help you find out more opnions

if you have 4k to spend, then your ls turbo is a good idea, but you may not want to use all of your budget, so turboing the z6 is a good option also...you can get 250whp from both set ups and still be ultra reliable

 

I'd put the money into the z6...

you should be able to get those numbers w/o a problem with 4k.

There was someone on here selling b16 rods modified to take some JDM toyota forged pistons that will fit in the Z6 and support upto like 18psi I think... I don't have the thread here... but I do at home ... I'll try to put a link up.

 

Just turbo your D, intake, cam, clutch, flywheel, exhaust. You'll have money left over in your pocket. It'll also be good for the weekends.

 

I know I would be able to pull more power out of the LS, but would a built motor be more reliable then a stock.

Is the Built Z6-T more reliablity then a Stock LS-T @ 250hp???

 

As far as that goes it's all in how you build it. A guy I worked with at Honda in MD, had a built Z6-T , it was his daily driver. Just keep up on it, and everything should b fine.

i have to agree with those who said to turbo your d series motor. with the money you have left over you can put it in some nice suspension pieces interior whatever you want

it just depends on how you build and tune it...if you do it right then yes, if you do it wrong then lots of bad stuff can happen....and a tuned and built z6-t can be reliable at 15 psi all day

 

Dude he drove this thing like a retarded monkey with a coke addiction. It still held up great, so like we all said brother it's how u build it. Do it right, do it once.

 

Make sure you get some good axles or it won't matter how good the engine is cause you'll never be able to drive it anywhere.
