Problem with VAFC
Has anyone experiances this? Im not sure if its the VAF or if there is something else going on.
Whatever I set the VAFC to kick VTEC on, it delays it ~200 RPMs. Like now, my VAFC VTEC is set at 4700, yet it kicks in at 4900. Is there something wrong with the VAFC? The motor? (already tired a second solenoid and same thing)

Hahaha, hey I like the Blue screen! And anyway..how many adjustment points does the Field's have? The VAFC has 16
Ill try out a friend's VAFC first before I exchange mine.

.....well you know the stock tach is off by ~200 rpms or so. At least mine is.
If it's off by the rpm reading on the vafc in monitor mode, then check and see what your lvt and hvt correction points are. Probably, you have vtec set to go on at a certain rpm, but your lvt and hvt correction points don't share that same rpm..... post up your correction points and also your vtec l--->h and h--->l. I think that's the problem.
Never had any of the aforementioned problems with mine.

you cant really say that the afc has 16, because all 16 arent on one page.
and val, what are your low throttle settings?
or does a vafc do highcam/lowcam instead of highthrottle/lowthrottle

I have that as well. I thought it might be the vtec correction setting where if your Vtec is lower than stock you adjust for it. I have mine set at 4700 and doesnt go till 4900, and my vtec correction is set at +2, no clue if that effects the vtec xover.
I don't think its the VAFC. Typically, Honda Tachs tend to be very optimistic about RPMs so it could really be switching at 4700 but the tach just says 4900. I guess when you have a high revving engine, the chances of error are a bit higher.
The connections re soldered
SGT: The VAFC actually has 32 points of adjustment.
8 for low throtttle/non vtec
8 for low throttle/vtec
8 for high throttle/non vtec
8 for high throttle/vtec
All my low throttle points are at 0
