anyone running octane booster with your pump gas?
makes more sense to me to run 93 and super 104 octane booster or the race NOS booster, which should give you a octane of about 98, expensive, but arent turbos anyway?
I plan to do this usually all the time, just wondering if anyone else does the same.

i would love to, but it gets expensive...they are a few bucks per bottle right ? Ive heard that you can buy the chemicals in bulk, and make it yourself much cheaper... i saw someone post exaclty how to do it before
Well hell considering how much you use it, it's not that bad. Unless you plan on using it on a daily basis which isn't recommended for your cat. converter.
i tried for a while when i was having some light detonation under boost... but it didn't help for ****. a few gallons of 100 octane, on the other hand, eradicated it COMPLETELY and cost less to boot.
since then i've fixed the problem, but if i had worries again, i wouldn't even think of octane booster. race gas is much better.
and btw, the "104" on octane booster doesn't mean quite what you think it means... and when it says it will increase the octane of your tank by "7" points they DON'T mean from 93 to 100... i wish.

I dont like it cause after u use it its hard to read the plugs.. the octane booster makes em all rusty looking.. I dont plan on using it again.. I also think If you are getting detonation you need to figure out why and not just try to put in octane booster.. If u just want to run octane booster for the fun of it your basically throwing your money away..
I'm running a bottle for every tank... $2/ea... not too bad. My turbo was running on the edge of detonation at 92 octane before the @#$% oil companies decided to drop premium down to 91 here in Cali. I use the octane booster as an "insurance" for peace of mind.
